1. Paratha(پراٹھا)
In 2011, CNN Go listed Pratha in the world’s 50 most delicious food items that should be tried at least once in a lifetime. Paratha's origin is from Pakistan & India. It is a pancake-like flatbread made up of wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and ghee(oil).
It is served with salan (handi) and lassi with desi ghee or butter on top. Varieties of parathas are available nowadays. Like lachay dar pratha, spiral pratha, saag paratha, qeema/daal paratha, etc.

2. Halwa puri(حلوہ پوری)
Halwa is typically made with a mixture of fried semolina and sugar syrup, combined with almonds. The sweet dish is flavored with green cardamom and kewra essence; it is usually enhanced with yellow or orange food color for a vibrant dish.
Puri is a popular breakfast dish originating from northern India. Known as "Chole bhature" in India, while halwa puri in Pakistan. It is fried bread made from fine flour /semolina(suji), water, salt, and oil. It is usually served with Halwa/chanay(chohlay).

3. Naan chanay/kulcha chohlay(نان چنے)
Naan is another type of baked roti/bread. It is made up of flour(maida), salt, and zeera. It is served with chanay and kebabs. Huge varieties of naans are available. till waly naan, sada naan, zeera naan, alu naan, daal /qeema(mince), stuffed naan, etc.

4. Lassi(لسی)
Lassi is a popular drink in Pakistan. It is made from yogurt. Salt and sweet lassi are quite famous in Pakistan and India. Now huge varieties of lassi are available in the world. Mango lassi, zeera lassi, mithi and namkeen lassi etc.

5. Aalu anday(آلو انڈے)
Alu anday or egg potato is one of the top breakfast menus across restaurants and homes. Chopped onions and tomatoes are fried in oil, salt, and a bunch of green chilies, along with potatoes and eggs are added. People prefer to take it for breakfast.

6. Butter/desi ghee (مکھن اور دیسی گھی)
Butter is eaten with parathas in breakfast. When we mix yogurt with water to make lassi, the protein/butter is separated from it—this called butter. If you heat it for a while, you get desi ghee.

7. Doodh patti(Tea) دودھ پتی
Tea(chai) is world popular, but Pakistani chaey is different from the rest of the world. People here prefer doodh Patti instead of typical English & black tea.
Doodh Patti is tea without water. Pure milk with Patti(tea) and a pinch of sugar. There are many kinds of doodh Patti is famous in the market nowadays. Malai doodh patti, Cardamom etc.

8. Nihari(نہاری)
The dish consists of slowly cooked meat such as beef, mutton, or chicken.
The meat is cooked together with many spices such as cumin, cloves, garam masala, and cardamom in big pateela/handi. Which is sealed from top with dough. It takes 6-8 hours to cook properly, and it is traditionally considered for breakfast.

9. Siri Paye (سری پاۓ)
Siri paye is made witan animal's head and feet (typically goat, cow, or lamb), called siri and paya in Urdu. The animal’s head and feet are first stir-fried with onions, ginger garlic paste, and spices such as turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seed powder, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom.
The dish is then flavored with a spicy yogurt mixture and garam masala powder, covered with water, then meat is thoroughly cooked. It is topped with fresh green chilies, coriander leaves, and ginger. It is usually served hot with lemons and naan or roti.
10. Phainiyan(پھینیاں)
Phainiyan, the traditional breakfast in Ramadanisre known as vermicelli in English. Just put them in warm milk, add some sugar(شکر) or honey if you want, and enjoy! 😀

I would love to try Pakistani food. As a Mexican, we share several recepies that the Spanish introduced to what is now Mexico. Some of such recepies came from Asian culture. Congratulations for baring such a wonderful cuisine.
